Actions / Indications:
  • Clears heat, generates fluids (high fever, irritability, thirst: qi level heat due to febrile diseases)
  • Clears heat from LU (Bronchitis, Lung abcess, acute Lung heat with cough and thick yellow sputum that is difficult to expectorate)
  • Clears ST heat; stops vomiting (nausea, vomiting, belching)
  • Promotes urination, vents rashes (dark, scanty urine, heat lin syndrome; promotes eruption of measles)

  • Wei Jing is not the same herb as Lu Gen, but they are often used interchangeably.
