Actions / Indications:
  • Releases Exterior W/C; transforms damp, harmonizes middle jiao (use to expel wind-cold in the summer, "summertime ma huang", chills, fever, headache, no sweating, body aches; diarrhea: expels interior damp; induces sweating.
  • Promotes urination, reduces edema (strengthens SP to relieve edema, urinary difficulty; especially with exterior pattern)
