Cooking Instructions: Combine powder in hot water and stir vigorously until dissolved Treats Eastern: Yang Collapse due to heat entering the interior where it contrains the yang qi. Wiry, forceful pulse, tongue shows heat signs. Bitter taste in mouth, belching, reduced appetite. Presentation often occurs in children. A pathological condition involving the spleen Treats Western: Cold fingers and toes (or extremities) sometimes accompanied by irritability and fullness in the chest and epigastrium. May be prescribed in treating gastritis, peptic ulcer, hepatitis, intestinal obstruction, mastitis, and fibrocystic breasts. |
