Cooking Instructions: Add powder to hot water and stir until dissolved. This version does not contain Da Huang, although it is commonly included in the formula. Da Huang is a powerful purgative so you may wish to customize its dosage by adding it separately. Evergreen herbs adds 9.4% Da Huang, when it is added. This formula is based loosely off of the formulation used by Evergreen herbs, actual dosages may vary according to practitioner and manufacturer preferences. Treats Eastern: Harmonizes the Shao Yang, Unblocks the three Yang Stages, Sedates and calms the Spirit, Relieves the chest and subcardiac regions, Alleviates spasms, Adjusts the Central Nervous System, Improper use of purgatives before the pathogen enters Yang Ming or Shao Yang, Shao Yang Fu with underlying Liver Qi Stagnation, Disorders due to fright, Phlegm in the Liver and Gallbladder, Irregular heartbeat that occurs at rest. Tongue tends to be red with greasy coat. Pulse tends to be wiry and rapid [10]. Treats Western: Fullness and distention in the chest, Irritability, Occasional fright palpitations, Urinary difficulty, Constipation, Delirious speech, Insomnia, Subcardiac, distention, Palpitations at the abdomen, Melancholia, Fear, Agitation, Unsteadiness, Tends toward mania and convulsions, Tends toward fatigue and clumsiness of limbs, Dysuria, Excitability, Dizziness, Anxiety, Depression, Tinnitus, Deafness, Profuse expectoration of Phlegm, Bitter taste in the mouth Palpitations, Pale face, Oliguria, A sensation of extreme heaviness of the body Fatigue, Inability to rotate the trunk, Difficulty moving the body [10]. |
